I received my BA in Studio Arts, where I studied the fine art of printmaking, along with specializing in painting and interior design. My very first love was working with watercolors. Andrew Wyeth’s egg tempera watercolors, the emotional work of Georgia O'Keeffe, Claude Monet, the intricate floral illustrations of Redoute and Durer etchings inspired my work.
My work experience includes working closely with Sotheby's in NYC chair interior designer in restoration of painted chairs, after being head designer/owner of a NJ flower shop. I have participated in many shows and fairs during my career, achieved awards for my work which is collected by many world wide.
I live in the quaint town of Brandon Vermont in an old home with my companion a Standard Poodle, Jessie James.
Laurie Rohner Studio is in Vermont after selling my studio in North Carolina and have reopened my new online studio in Brandon VT.
My work experience includes working closely with Sotheby's in NYC chair interior designer in restoration of painted chairs, after being head designer/owner of a NJ flower shop.
