 The fall autumn season is a glorious time for maple trees. Notice the reds, orange, and golden yellows of the maples and field grasses, I just love this time of year.

​The autumn hills in Vermont are in full bloom with rich colors of red, orange, gold, and deep green. In the foreground is a knoll of dried grasses and fall flowers in this impressionist style watercolor landscape on paper and applied to rescued wood shakes. The blue skies pop through the clouds and highlight the vibrant colors in my Vermont landscape. I like to find ways of saving things and utilizing them in a creative way. This watercolor original painting is hand-painted on paper which I adhere to roof shakes rescued from a 150 +yrs old barn. Each rescued wood shake is washed and sanded. Some I accent where the wood has weathered away making each painting very unique one of a kind and original.
