​The slate is hand-painted on a painted slate with watercolor and ink. These are original illustrations hand painted on antique roof slates from my 150 yr. barn. I knew I had to paint these little treasures with insects and flowers as I stared at them on the ground. I couldn’t see them thrown away when something could be painted on them.

These make great gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, housewarmings, and gifts.

This listing is for Bluebird Home, blue sky background with bluebird, nest, and tree leaves. I sealed the painting and added a jute cord hidden for easy hanging. Hangs flat to the wall.
